Description

Description
The reception on Friday night is free and open to the public. This is an opportunity to meet Swami Nardinand and Swami Joyti Ma and other like-minded people. Here you will learn about the upcoming retreat and the healing, loving power of Shakti meditation, We hope you will join us. Please register even though tickets are free. Since this event is in a private home, you will be sent the address and directions after you register. You may attend only the reception/orientation if you wish.

The retreat itself, starting on Saturday morning is an intensive two and a half-day meditation experience with Swami Nardanand. The first morning, participants will receive the divine blessing that opens a path to awakening. The manifestation of this divine blessing is unique to each of us and this process encourages independence and curiosity regarding our individual spiritual journey. SwamiJi teaches us that our divine nature is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, and thus knows exactly what we need to be healthy and happy. Once that divine connection is made, our highest self can guide our spiritual process and daily life. When a spiritual awakening occurs, a person’s life is changed forever.

More on Birmingham, Alabama
Nestled at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains at the cross-section of two major railroads, this historical city was once the primary industrial center of the southern United States. At the height of the nation’s manufacturing age, Birmingham's population grew so quickly, it was called the “Magic City.” Today, Birmingham has developed a strong medical research, banking and service-based economy, making it one of the nation’s most livable cities with a vibrant downtown featuring a burgeoning loft community, a world-class culinary scene and more green space per capita than any other city in the nation!

Birmingham has a regional airport (BHM) serviced by Southwest Airlines several times a day. The venue is a comfortable home near downtown and parks for enjoying the outdoors, weather permitting.
